"The difficulty of literature is not to write, but to write what you mean." -R.L.S.

Welcome to my Wiki! My name is Sarah Baird-Reed, aka Mrs. Reed, and I am a student teacher with University of Oregon's M.Ed. program. My endorsements and subject areas include Middle/Secondary Language Arts and English as a Second Language, and Middle School Social Studies. I have recently taught 6th grade Language Arts at Kelly Middle School and now teach Freshman and Junior Language Arts and Literature courses at Junction City High School. I haven't found anything else that gives me more peace of mind than working with students and I love to find ways to create new, innovative, and interactive lessons and materials. As John Steinbeck once said, "My whole work drive has been aimed at making people understand each other...!" I will do this by helping my students learn to understand their world through literature, language, and real life experiences, until my final days. I have experiences in various inclusive classrooms, working with English Language Learners and students with special needs/IEP classifications, as well as utilizing a variety of technology-based curriculum and support. I believe that learning should not have an end point, especially for an teacher, so my students and I will learn and teach together. Please email me if you would like more information or to join my wiki! Have a wonderful day!
